Keith James Davison, 66, of Traverse City died Saturday, April 6, 2024.

He was born on May 15, 1957 in Detroit the son of Doyle Alder Sr. and Yvonne Marie (Hamby) Davison.

He attended Dearborn High School and received his high school equivalent during the military. Keith entered the US Navy at the end of the Vietnam War era in January 1975 and was released in April 1977. He first met his future wife in nursery school and later reconnected with Tina in high school. They married on April 2, 1975.

He graduated from Schoolcraft College in 1989 with an Associate’s Degree in Biomedical Electronic Engineering. Hewlitt Packard Company was looking for the brightest talent and hired him right out of college. In 1990, Keith was sent on a job to Traverse City for Munson Medical Center. They immediately offered him a job and he moved here in 1990 and Tina joined him after the sale of their home in 1991. He worked in Information Systems and retired after 32 years in December 2022.

Keith loved Marathon Key in Florida. He was previously a Captain of an Ocean Operator and ran a Dive Shop from 1984 to 1986. He had a passion for snowmobiling and boats and built a large Model Clipper Ship. Keith was proud to be a certified Scuba Diver and received that certificate at 14 years of age. He also liked to hunt, shoot at the range and was known to tear everything apart and put it back together.

Keith is survived by his wife of 49 years, Tina (Massic) Davison; 2 grandchildren; brother, Doyle (Carol) Davison Jr. and his dog, Bourbon.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Samantha Husted, parents, Doyle and Yvonne and brothers, Jon and Bryan Davison.

In lieu of flowers, Keith has requested donations to his wife, to help her financially to get to Florida to scatter his ashes.

A celebration of life will be held 1:00 pm, Saturday, April 13, 2024 at the Woodside Wesleyan Church, 6789 Ole White Drive, Lake Ann. Visitation will start at noon. Military Honor will be provided by the Cherryland VFW Post #2870. Burial will be in the Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan
